Students and staff had an unexpected and healthy treat on October 26th as the Food Corps hosted an "Apple Crunch-off" in our auditorium. Mayor Theken joined us in crunching for an enjoyable presentation by our "Backyard Garden" friends as we learned about healthy eating and composting. Ms. Delisle got in on the action presenting our new WOW (word of the week) - compost! We all were able to participate in a major composting project when we threw our apple cores into large composting containers. Thank you to the Food Corps for bringing such a valuable, educational and fun experience to our students. And a special thanks to Meghan Stratton who lead the "Crunch-off" and furnished us with some awesome pictures!
