Veterans' Memorial Halloween Festivities

Ghosts, goblins, princesses, athletes, superheros, storm troopers, minions and more paraded through the halls of Veterans' Memorial Friday afternoon during our annual Halloween parade. Staff and students alike participated in the fun as we collected in the courtyard with parents and families to share our creative costumes.  A shark high-fived students as a fairy god-mother laughed with the kids. And we were lead by none other than the magnificent (and peace-loving) Merlin the Wizard with Batman at his side! Students then enjoyed another annual event at Veterans' Memorial, a viewing of "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" where students giggled and guffawed at the antics of Snoopy and the gang. Celebrating its 50th year next year, it brings many of us back to our childhood days.  It was good to see the newest generation still enjoying the animated film.  Fun was had by all, but it wasn't over yet!  Our Vets' PTO generously hosted the Halloween Hop that evening in our Cafe where kids danced the night away!
